Begin in Vienna, a city of imperial elegance and artistic heritage. Wander its majestic streets, then escape to the fairytale village of Hallstatt on a guided day trip—an alpine gem set on the edge of a crystal-clear lake.
Then hop aboard a scenic train ride to Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace and a city full of music, history, and charm. From here, take in the dramatic beauty and historical depth of Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest, perched high in the Bavarian Alps, and descend into the mysterious world of the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine, where history lies deep beneath the mountains.

Your trip will be partially guided , meaning each day tour will have a different professional guide and group, allowing you to meet new people throughout your journey. All tours are operated separately, so guides and participants will change daily.
Day 1: Arrival Vienna
Upon arriving at Vienna International Airport ( VIE ) , meet your driver in the arrival hall for a transfer to your hotel in Vienna . After checking in (available from 14:00), you’ll have free time to explore your hotel at your leisure. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability upon arrival.
Day 2: Hallstatt: Guided Trip from Vienna
After breakfast, make your way to the nearby meeting point for your group tour. It’s a 16-minute taxi ride from your hotel, which you’ll take on your own. The meeting point is located at 1 Albertinaplatz, 1010, Vienna

Day 3: Free at Leisure
Today is yours to enjoy Vienna however you choose. With no scheduled tours or activities, you have the freedom to dive deeper into the city’s rich culture, stunning architecture, and elegant charm. Whether you’re drawn to art museums, cozy coffee houses, classical music, or just a relaxed stroll through imperial streets, Vienna offers endless possibilities.
Take your time discovering hidden courtyards, indulging in a slice of Sachertorte, or relaxing in the beautiful gardens of Schönbrunn Palace. However you spend the day, Vienna is sure to leave you inspired.
Day 4: Train from Vienna to Salzburg
Start your day with a delicious breakfast, then make your way to Vienna central train station "Wien Hbf" ,located within a short walking distance from your hotel. Here, you'll board your train for a scenic journey to Salzburg . Sit back and relax as you travel to Salzburg Hbf , the central rail hub in the heart of the city. Upon arrival in Salzburg , your hotel will also be within a short walking distance from the station, making your transfer smooth and convenient. Check-in at the hotel is available from 14:00, with early check-in subject to availability. After settling in, enjoy some free time to explore the surrounding area and soak in the charm of Salzburg at your own pace.
Day 5: Hitler's Eagle's Nest: Entrance & Roundtrip from Salzburg
After breakfast, walk to the nearby meeting point for your group tour. It’s just a short distance from your hotel. The meeting point is at Hubert-Sattler-Gasse 1, Mirabellplatz, 5020, Salzburg

Board a bus and see Salzburg's bold mix of Baroque, Renaissance, and Gothic architecture melt into vast open vistas of idyllic countryside and leafy woodland outside the city.
Cross the border into the Bavarian heartland of Germany, and climb higher and higher along the hillsides where history's darkest chapters were scrawled in secret.
At Obersalzberg, you'll disembark and enter a long tunnel that cuts through the mountain. Once inside, a brass elevator will lift you to the summit, to see the historic Kehlsteinhaus - The Eagle's Nest.
After touring the building and its infamous fireplace room where unfathomable evil was once plotted, clear your head with spellbinding views of Bavarian and Austrian Alps.
Day 6: Berchtesgaden Salt Mine: Entrance & Roundtrip from Salzburg

Enjoy the mesmerizing scenery around Salzburg with a roundtrip bus tour from Salzburg to Obersalzberg, and a tour of the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine. Drink in the jaw-dropping mountainous countryside and learn about the region's dark hidden history. Then plumb the depths of Berchtesgaden for a subterranean tour with more than a pinch of salt.
Hop aboard a spacious coach from Salzburg and be transported into the breathtaking natural splendor of Obersalzberg's sweeping valleys and rugged mountain scenery.
You'll learn about the dark secrets that loom over the verdant countryside. Obersalzberg is where Hitler had a summer home built, which was used as a meeting place with the Nazi High Command to discuss their occupation and genocidal effort across Europe.
Once you arrive at Berchtesgaden, you'll be given some authentic miner's clothes to put on, before descending the mine slides into the depths below. You'll arrive at an enormous salt lake, before being guided around the beautifully illuminated underground world of salt mining.
After re-emerging into the blinding daylight, you'll have some time to explore the picturesque town of Berchtesgaden to savor a taste of some Bavarian specialties.
Day 7: Departure Salzburg
After breakfast, meet your driver and transfer to Salzburg Airport ( SZG ) . We recommend scheduling your hotel pick-up up to 4 hours before your flight departure time. Please note that hotel check-out is at 12:00 noon, and late check-out will be subject to availability.
